Keating Specialist Cylinders offers a wide range of techniques and specifications for the engraving of gravure cylinders:

Flexible Packaging Cylinders

Our cylinders deliver a high level of consistency, to ensure a high quality result across different product ranges. We can provide fingerprint profiling to ensure the minimum amount of setting up time on any type of press.

Coating Cylinders

Keating's produces a wide range of coating cylinders for a variety of applications. Our Mega Head engraving machine was developed specifically for the metal finishing industry where deep depositions were required for cans, bottle tops etc. Engraving resolutions as low as 7 lines per cm can be achieved, producing engraved cells over 1mm wide with a depth of over 400µ, ideal for any application where a high coatweight is typically required such as adhesives and lacquers. Where a smooth coating layer is critical we offer trihelically engraved cylinders; for both techniques we can create any desired pattern as well as producing allover engravings.

Embossing Cylinders

Keating produces embossing cylinders for customers in markets such as tobacco and specialist papers.

Security Cylinders

Gravure has always been a good choice for products requiring high levels of security. By the very nature of the process it is not as easy to counterfeit as offset or flexo printed material.
